The Orioles just put on a clinic on how to lose a lead.
Take notes, if you must.
Miguel Tejada opens the fourth with an error. Corey Patterson overruns a single in left field, allowing a run to score. Tejada fails to make a clean backhand stop of a ground ball, but is spared his second error. Kevin Milwood surrenders an RBI single. Mark Ellis steals home while catcher Matt Wieters throws to second, unaware that plate umpire Marty Foster has awarded a walk to Cliff Pennington, the No 9 hitter….The Orioles just put on a clinic on how to lose a lead.

Coco Crisp launches a three-run homer, only his second of the season.
Still only one out.
That’s the first steal of home against the Orioles since June 8, 2008 by Toronto’s Brad Wilkerson.
That game couldn’t have included an inning any uglier than this one.
Farm update: Double-A Bowie’s Joel Guzman hit his 18th home run tonight. Felix Pie is 0-for-1 with a walk.
Scoring change: Ellis no longer is credited with a steal of home, since the last pitch was ball four. He advances on a fielder’s choice – Wieters’ throw to second.
Millwood is out of the game after five innings and 108 pitches. He’s charged with six runs (five earned) and eight hits, with two walks and two strikeouts.
