It won’t surprise you to learn that the Orioles intend to call up Chris Tillman to make tomorrow night’s start against the Rangers and option third baseman Josh Bell to Triple-A Norfolk.
The moves will be made official tomorrow. Interim manager Juan Samuel will wait to make sure the Orioles don’t sustain an injury that could change their plans for Bell.
Samuel told reporters in Texas that Bell needs to get at-bats, and they’ll come in the International League.

Catcher Matt Wieters told Mark Viviano, tonight’s sideline reporter for MASN, that he experienced tightness in his right hamstring during Wednesday night’s game in Detroit, and his condition worsened during the flight to Texas.
Wieters insisted that he’s not concerned, and he’s back in the lineup, but Samuel will watch him closely.
