Freddy Galvis is in the lineup again at shortstop. He said today in his Zoom call that he isn’t 100 percent recovered from the soreness in his adductor/groin, “but I’m thinking I’m close to there.”

Galvis said he began to experience some tightness after playing on the turf in Arlington, Texas, and Miami, and then returning to rainy Camden Yards.

Kremer faced the Mariners in Game 2 of an April 13 doubleheader and allowed four runs and four hits in three innings. José Marmolejos hit a three-run homer.

Right-hander Erik Swanson is making his first start since 2019. His only appearance this year came in relief during the same doubleheader and resulted in two scoreless and hitless innings.

Seattle’s bullpen ranks first in the majors with a 2.30 ERA.

Rain forced the teams to play two doubleheaders in Baltimore last month and the Mariners won three of four games.

The Orioles are 7-13 against the Mariners in the last 20 games and 34-56 all-time at the presently named T-Mobile Park.
