It happened at Double-A Bowie, too.
Joel Guzman, Joe Mahoney and Brandon Waring homered in succession in the fourth inning at Prince George’s Stadium.
Has such a thing ever occurred at two levels of the same organization on the same night?
Guzman hit his 20th, Mahoney his fourth and Waring his 17th.
Unreal.

Brian Roberts, serving as the designated hitter tonight, is 3-for-4 with a double and run scored. He’s batting .556 with the Baysox.
Steve Johnson has allowed two unearned runs and struck out seven in five innings, and Bowie leads Binghamton,
9-2.
Meanwhile, Jake Arrieta’s wild pitch in the sixth inning allowed Jason Bartlett to score and ruined my 4-2 prediction. Jason Berken has replaced him with one out, runners on first and second, and the Orioles clinging to a 4-3 lead.
Instant update: They let go, and sloppy play proved their undoing again.
Ty Wigginton made a diving stop of Willy Aybar’s sharp grounder, but he tried for the force at second instead of the easier play at first and fired the ball from his knees into left field. Carlos Pena scored, and both runners moved up when Cesar Izturis failed to cover second or third. They both scored on John Jaso’s single into center field.
Rays 6, Orioles 4.
