Left-hander John Means is making his fourth start since leaving the injured list. He held the Tigers to one run in six innings in his last outing.

Means faced the Rays in his first start after being reinstated and allowed five runs and seven hits in five innings. Randy Arozarena and Francisco Mejía hit home runs. Means also started against the Rays on May 19 and allowed four runs and six hits in 6 1/3 innings. Arozarena and Mike Brosseau hit home runs.

Arozarena is 17-for-37 (.459) against the Orioles this season, with three doubles, seven home runs, 16 RBIs and 13 runs scored. But the Rays placed him on the COVID-19 injured list today due to a close contact and recalled outfielder Jordan Luplow from Triple-A Durham.

Means is looking for his first win against a division opponent since opening day in Boston.

Left-hander Ryan Yarbrough is making his 17th start and 22nd appearance this season. He’s started three times against the Orioles and allowed 11 earned runs (14 total) and 19 hits in 17 2/3 innings.

Mancini is 8-for-22 (.364) lifetime against Yarbrough, with two doubles, three home runs and eight RBIs.
