Jeremy Guthrie, who was the first AL pitcher to suffer 10 losses this year, ended a nine-start winless drought, as the Orioles beat Minnesota 3-2 Friday night.
Guthrie gave up six hits and two runs over seven innings, throwing 99 pitches as he gained his fourth win of the year and first since May 25 vs. Oakland.
In four career starts vs. Minnesota, Guthrie is 3-0, 2.96.

Guthrie took a shutout to the sixth, then Joe Mauer hit a two-run homer on a 1-2 pitch to give the Twins a 2-1 lead.
But Luke Scott hit a two-run shot of his own, off Anthony Slama, for a 3-2 lead in the last of the sixth. It was his 15th of the year and third in five games since his return from the DL. Scott has hit 12 of his 15 homers at Camden Yards.
David Hernandez got Michael Cuddyer to fly out to the wall in center with two men on to end the eighth and Alfredo Simon pitched a scoreless ninth to record his 14th save.
Adam Jones had an RBI single in the first as the O’s improved to 2-6 on this ten-game homestand.
Brian Roberts, activated off the 60-day DL Friday afternoon, went 0 for 4 in his first Major League game since the home opener on April 9th.
On Saturday night at 7:05, in game three of this series, its Brian Matusz (3-10, 5.21) vs. Scott Baker (7-9, 5.1).
