Anthony Santander has recorded back-to-back games with three hits or more for the first time in his career. He’s in right field.

Hays had hit first career pinch-hit last night in the eighth inning, and it came with the bases loaded and scored two runs. He was 0-for-9 as a pinch-hitter with two walks and an RBI.

Stewart’s last seven hits have gone for extra bases.

Left-hander Keegan Akin is 0-8 with a 7.92 ERA and 1.806 WHIP in 18 games. Today marks his 12th start.

José Iglesias and Shohei Ohtani hit home runs off Akin in his July start against them. He allowed four runs with seven hits in three innings.

The Orioles ended a 19-game losing streak last night and posted their first win at home since July 28 against the Marlins. The 10 runs scored were the most since June 29 in Houston.

The Orioles have drawn seven bases-loaded walks, three scoring the go-ahead run. They improved last night to 5-69 when trailing after the seventh inning.

Jones and Ryan Mountcastle did some early infield work this morning.

Right-hander Jaime Barria has posted a 5.87 ERA and 1.467 WHIP this season in seven games (five starts). He’s walked 11 batters and struck out struck out 17 in 30 2/3 innings.

Barria’s lone appearance against the Orioles came on May 3, 2018. He allowed two runs and four hits in six innings in Anaheim in a 12-3 win.
