In his first outing in a game since June 20 for Norfolk vs. Toledo, right-hander Brandon Erbe allowed two runs in the third inning at Ripken Stadium tonight for Aberdeen vs. Hudson Valley.
Erbe, who has been out since then with right shoulder soreness, pitched scoreless ball in the first and second innings.
He gave up just one hit and the two runs over three innings with two walks and one strikeout.

He gave up just one hit and the two runs over three innings with two walks and one strikeout.
Erbe hit the first batter of the game and then retired the next six. His fastball was clocked at 92 to 95, but sitting mostly at 93, 94 in the first two innings and was at 90, 91 in his third frame.
He threw 40 pitches, 21 for strikes in what is expected to be the first of three outings at Aberdeen to build him back up around 70 pitches before a likely return to Triple-A.
There were four stolen bases against him while he was in the game.
Kam Mickolio, out since June 11 with a right shoulder strain, pitched the fourth for Aberdeen and gave up one run on a homer. He threw 15 pitches, 11 for strikes, hitting mostly around 92 on the Ripken Stadium gun with his fastball. He gave up just the one hit and had one strikeout also.
He is expected to throw twice more for the IronBirds, an inning each, on his injury rehab assignment.
