The Baltimore Orioles will host the team’s Fall Instructional League Camp at the Ed Smith Stadium complex in Sarasota, Fla. beginning today, Monday, October 18, and running through Saturday, November 20. The Baltimore Orioles will host the team’s Fall Instructional League Camp at the Ed Smith Stadium complex in Sarasota, Fla. beginning today, Monday, October 18, and running through Saturday, November 20. The Instructional League program focuses on specific individual development to help accelerate a player’s progress through the minor league system.
The roster of players participating in this year’s camp is listed below. Among those participating include 17 members of the Orioles 2021 draft class, as well as 19 prospects in their Top 30 list, according to MLB Pipeline.
The Orioles farm system currently ranks as the best in baseball according to MLB Pipeline and the second-best according to Baseball America. It includes five players listed among the Top 100 MLB prospects, according to MLB Pipeline: catcher Adley Rutschman (No. 1), right-hander Grayson Rodriguez (No. 8), left-hander DL Hall (No. 72), infielder Gunnar Henderson (No. 74), and outfielder Colton Cowser (No. 76).

The 2021 Orioles Instructional League camp will be closed to the public and media. Orioles pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report to 2022 Spring Training on February 15 and the first full-squad workout is set for February 20. The 2022 season will mark the Orioles’ 13th consecutive Spring Training season in Sarasota and the club’s 12th at renovated Ed Smith Stadium.
