First baseman Joe Mahoney, who has been on a tear for the Double-A Bowie Baysox, left last night’s game at Portland after the fourth inning and is not in the lineup today for their afternoon game there.

Mahoney is batting .402-6-18 in 23 Baysox games after going 0 for 3 last night. He has a slugging percentage of .713 and OPS of 1.159.
