Before tonight’s game, the O’s will present RHP Jeremy Guthrie with the Roberto Clemente Award during a special on-field ceremony prior to first pitch.

Tomorrow night – which also happens to be Buck Showalter T-Shirt Tuesday – the O’s will present left-hander Brian Matusz with his Gillette Rookie of the Month Award for the month of August during……well, that would depend on the night.

Matusz earned this honor after going 4-1 with a 2.43 ERA in six starts in August. Appropriately, O’s pitching coach Rick Kranitz will present Matusz with the Award.
