Brandon Snyder has collected his second RBI double in two games, lining a ball over the head of Toronto Blue Jays left fielder Travis Snider in the top of the second inning to score Adam Jones and give the Orioles a 1-0 lead.

Manager Buck Showalter was asked before the game about the Orioles’ need to add more power to their lineup – a logical topic to tackle with the Blue Jays mashing the ball all season.
Showalter replied: “We want to make sure the answers aren’t in our own backyard before we start coveting the neighbor’s people, so to speak.”

Meanwhile, Julio Lugo just drove in another run with a bases-loaded walk. He was worth the wait.
Instant update: Nick Markakis followed with a bases-loaded walk after being down, 0-2, in the count. Sensational at-bat. Romero has thrown 57 pitches in two innings.
