Fortunately for the Orioles, Adam Jones caught Reid Brignac’s fly ball and cut down Pena advancing to third base.

Bergesen allowed one run in three consecutive starts, and four of five, going into tonight.

Meanwhile, Robert Andino and Julio Lugo have hits tonight. Andino is starting at shortstop, and Lugo replaced second baseman Brian Roberts, who was a late scratch because of an illness.

Update: Lugo might be the smartest guy at Tropicana Field. He was ejected by plate umpire Joe West for arguing balls and strikes, allowing him to retreat to the clubhouse and avoid watching the rest of this game.

Actually, Lugo needed to exhibit better self-control with Brian Roberts scratched from the lineup, but nothing has gone right for the Orioles. Bergesen allowed two more runs in the fifth inning on John Jaso’s leadoff triple, Ben Zobrist’s sacrifice fly and Carl Crawford’s home run

Tampa Bay 5, Orioles 0.

David Price is shutting out the Orioles on four hits over five innings, with no walks and six strikeouts.

I keep hearing CC Sabathia and Felix Hernandez tossed into the Cy Young discussions, but what about Price?
