The Orioles are inviting fans to the Senator Theatre in Baltimore for a “Meet the New O’s” Q&A session with manager Craig Albernaz and first baseman Pete Alonso, which highlights this year’s Birdland Caravan event.

The caravan runs from Thursday, Jan. 22-Saturday, Jan. 24 and makes stops in multiple locations throughout the region.

Current Orioles players participating in select events also include (alphabetically) Samuel Basallo, Dylan Beavers, Dietrich Enns, Ryan Helsley, Gunnar Henderson, Jackson Holliday, Jeremiah Jackson, Trevor Rogers, Adley Rutschman, Tyler Wells, Jordan Westburg and Grant Wolfram.

Locations include Baltimore, Bethesda, Ellicott City, Halethorpe, Linthicum Heights, Sykesville, White Marsh and a mystery Pop-Up Photo Op location in Prince George’s County. The Orioles say fans in Bel Air and Frederick also have the chance to meet and take photos with alumni that include former reliever Brad Brach, along with the Oriole Bird and Mr. Splash.

Tickets must be purchased for several events, including the “Meet the New O’s,” breakfast with the O’s, family bingo, bowling and all happy hours. Fans are encouraged to get their tickets in advance at Orioles.com/Caravan due to limited availability.

The Albernaz/Alonso session kicks off the caravan on the 22nd. According to the press release, it continues on the 23rd with both buses making surprise visits to local schools in Baltimore City. One bus will head to GameOn in the Federal Hill neighborhood, with Henderson, Rutschman and Westburg playing retro arcade games with fans. Another bus, with Albernaz, Basallo, Beavers and Wells, will host an exclusive tasting event at Guinness Open Gate Brewery, where fans are able to participate in a Q&A

The 24th features a “Kids Day” with two experiential events where fans can mingle with Holliday, Enns, Helsley, Wolfram and mascots by attending a breakfast with the Orioles at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City or enjoy duckpin bowling with Albernaz, Jackson and Rogers at AMF Southwest in Linthicum Heights.

Also on the 24th is a family bingo event with Holliday and Brach in Sykesville and a visit with patients at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center.

The second bus will visit Burtonsville Fire Department, the station of Lt. Christopher Higgins, who passed away nearly a year ago in the line of duty. The Orioles will be joining the First Responders Children’s Foundation that supports the children and families of first responders who have been killed or injured in the line of duty to provide a grant to the Higgins family and greet the same shift of firefighters that worked alongside Higgins. 

Tickets are required for breakfast and bowling events.

There’s more. The caravan concludes with visits from Holliday, Enns, Helsley and Wolfram to the White Marsh Mall, and Albernaz, Jackson, Rogers, Brach, the Oriole Bird and Mr. Splash to the Westfield Montgomery Mall, where fans will be treated to stage shows and games, kid-friendly activities and Q&As.
