Orioles left-hander Brian Matusz surrendered a bases-empty shot to Brandon Inge in the second inning. That’s the only hit off Matusz, who has walked two and struck out seven through the fourth. He’s thrown 77 pitches, 45 for strikes.
Matusz is fanning batters with his fastball, curve and changeup. Take your pick.
Update: Felix Pie’s hustle double, Ty Wigginton’s grounder to the right side and Matt Wieters’ fly ball to the center field fence broke the tie in the fifth inning. Orioles 2, Tigers 1.
