Alomar, a 12-time All-Star and 10-time Gold Glove winner, totaled 523 votes, giving him a whopping 90 percent. He fell eight votes short last winter. Blyleven received 463 votes, giving him 79.7 percent in his 14th year on the ballot.

Palmeiro received only 64 votes, giving him 11 percent. A player needs 75 percent or more for induction.

Former Reds shortstop Barry Larkin came the closest without making it, garnering 361 votes (62.1 percent). Former Orioles closer Lee Smith received 45.3 percent.
