SARASOTA, Fla. – With Brian Roberts unable to work out again today, Cesar Izturis and Brendan Harris took ground balls at second base.
J.J. Hardy and Nick Green took turns at shortstop. Derrek Lee and Jake Fox played first base. Mark Reynolds stood alone at third.
Robert Andino worked out at shortstop on another field.
Reynolds had one bad sequence where he mishandled a chopper and bounced a throw after fielding the next ball cleanly. Otherwise, he was fine.

Reynolds and Fox had a mild collision while chasing a pop up in front of the mound. Reynolds made the catch, and both players laughed as they returned to their respective positions.
Those are two pretty big bodies, so it was a cringe-worthy moment.
Vladimir Guerrero shagged fly balls in right field. He does more in camp than just mash the ball.
Justin Duchscherer threw live batting practice behind a protective screen, and it looked like he had good movement on the ball and was around the plate, which is typical when he’s healthy.
I mentioned earlier that David Segui and Paul Bako are in camp. So is former Orioles pitcher Kurt Ainsworth, co-founder of Marucci Sports Wood and Aluminum Baseball Bats. Segui and Bako are part-owners of the company, which is based in Baton Rouge, La.
Here’s the list of the 300-plus players who use the bats. Clients include Nick Markakis, Albert Pujols, Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Evan Longoria and Jose Bautista.
The Orioles traded Sidney Ponson to the Giants on July 31, 2003 for Ainsworth, Damian Moss and one other pitcher. Can you remember his name without looking it up?
I enjoyed talking to Ainsworth today without having to ask about his shoulder. He was diagnosed with a torn labrum and rotator cuff in spring training 2005. A nice guy whose career was cut short because of injuries.
