Derrek Lee saved Wieters from a costly error yesterday on a pickoff attempt, and he dug out Mark Reynolds’ low throw today with runners on second and third and one out.

Lee’s defense is a stark contrast to what we’ve seen at first base over the past few years. I hope it hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans.
