Pitchers: John Mariotti, Daurin Tavarez, Chad Thall

Position Players: David Anderson, Danny Figueroa, Joseph Donaldson, Gary Helmick (Towson University product), Joe Gaetti, Anyi Tejada, Grolmann Gonzalez, Freuny Parra, Austin Rauch, Randy Winn and Jeremy Shelby.

Gaetti was in his first year in the organization and is the son of former big leaguer Gary…The Orioles have released the following players, some of which may have asked for and received their releases from the minor league system.

Gaetti was in his first year in the organization and is the son of former big leaguer Gary Gaetti.

Shelby is the son of former Orioles player and coach John “T-bone” Shelby. He was drafted in round 38 last summer and hit .228 in 38 games at Bluefield.

The Orioles have now released 47 players since the end of last season after dropping two minor league teams in Bluefield and one in the Dominican Summer League. The Orioles usually will not comment on the reason or reasons when they release a player from the minor league system.
