Jeremy Guthrie played catch from 90 feet today and will do more throwing tomorrow at Camden Yards. Otherwise, he says there is “no set plan.”
Guthrie told me a few minutes ago in a brief phone call that he’s doing much better “after feeling the worst I ever felt Saturday night.” However, he isn’t sure whether he’ll make Sunday’s start.

Guthrie, who began having aches and pains Saturday night, which led doctors to diagnose him with a form of pneumonia, said he doesn’t know whether a bullpen session would be necessary later this week.
“I just plan on getting better each day and see if I can pitch Sunday,” he said.
As for today’s throwing session, he said, “It was good. They obviously don’t want me to do too much right now. The doctor said he’d allow me to play catch again and check me out.”
