Adam Jones’ two-run double gave the Orioles a 2-1 lead. Mark Reynolds flied out, and Wieters produced a big fly.
Zach Britton got a big 6-4-3 double play to end the top of the third. He’s thrown 43 pitches.
Michael Cuddyer homered leading off the second after Britton retired the Twins in order in the first on only seven pitches, including a 95 mph fastball on his final offering. He gave up two singles in the third before Cuddyer bounced to shortstop Robert Andino, who bobbled the ball before making the throw to second and starting the double play.
Nick Markakis was 1-for-21 before leading off the third with a single.
Update: Markakis was erased on a double play, but Vladimir Guerrero followed with a 386-foot home run to left-center field. The ball got out of here in about two seconds. Orioles 5, Twins 1.
