Vladimir Guerrero has three hits tonight to raise his average to .287. He just scored on Mark Reynolds’ sacrifice fly after he singled and took third on Luke Scott’s double – making one of the ugliest slides that I’ve ever seen.
Jim Johnson struck out two in the seventh and threw seven of his eight pitches for strikes. He’ll return for the eighth. No passing the baton.
Tonight’s attendance: 18,938.
That’s low for an Orioles–Red Sox game, even on a Tuesday night.
Not as many Boston fans here as usual.
