The Orioles today announced that they have claimed CA CRAIG TATUM off of waivers from the Cincinnati Reds.
Tatum, 26, batted .239 (51-213) with three home runs and 21 RBI in 64 games for Triple-A Louisville in 2009. He appeared in 26 games for Cincinnati, batting .162 (11-68) with one home run and six RBI.
The Reds’ third round pick in 2004, Tatum was rated the best defensive catcher in the Reds organization in 2008 by Baseball America.

Waters was 3-5 with a 5.01 ERA (64.2IP, 36ER) in 11 starts for Baltimore in 2008.
