The tarp is on the field. That’s not a good sign.
Lots of stuff going on here, and I know how much everyone likes stuff.
Brian Roberts’ placement on the new seven-day disabled list is pending approval from Major League Baseball. It’s reserved for players with concussion symptoms. Roberts seems to qualify.

Derrek Lee is eligible to return on June 1 for the Orioles’ final game in Seattle.
The Orioles will add at least one position player tomorrow. Once again, they have a two-man bench with Luke Scott and Matt Wieters.
Showalter wasn’t going to start Wieters after last night’s 15-inning game. It doesn’t matter that Brad Bergesen is pitching and he threw a shutout at Tropicana Field on Saturday with Jake Fox behind the plate. Wieters was going to rest no matter who took the mound.
Jake Arrieta will start tomorrow night’s game against the Nationals. Jeremy Guthrie goes Saturday and Chris Tilllman on Sunday.
Infielder Cesar Izturis will undergo elbow surgery at 7 a.m. Tuesday in Baltimore. Team orthopedist Dr. John Wilckens will handle the procedure, which involves moving the ulnar nerve.
Brian Matusz wiill start Saturday at Double-A Bowie. I guess the weather is deemed suitable.
Triple-A Norfolk catcher Craig Tatum will be activated from the disabled list “shortly,” according to Showalter. Perhaps he’s one of tomorrow’s roster moves.
Felix Pie volunteered to pitch in the 15th inning last night. That’s why he raced to the infield.
Pie walked through the clubhouse today wearing a Felix the Cat T-shirt. Just thought you’d like to know.
