The Orioles today announced that they have placed second baseman Brian Roberts on the seven-day disabled list, retroactive to May 17, due to a concussion. The club has also placed first baseman Derrek Lee on the 15-day DL, retroactive to May 17, with a left oblique muscle strain. Right-handed pitcher Chris Jakubauskas and left-handed pitcher Troy Patton have been recalled from Triple-A Norfolk and will be in uniform for tonight’s game against the New York Yankees.

Jakubauskas was 0-1 with a 5.54 ERA (13.0IP, 8ER) in four starts for the Tides. He appeared in three games for the Orioles in April, pitching to a 7.36 ERA (7.1IP, 6ER) and twice going 3.0 innings or more.
Patton was 1-0 with a 2.60 ERA (17.1IP, 14H, 5ER) in six games for Tides. He will wear uniform #40.
Roberts has batted .221 (36-163) in 39 games for the Orioles. Lee has batted .231 (36-156) with 14 RBI in 40 games for Baltimore.
