Adam Jones just hit a two-run homer and a bus.
Jones launched a pitch from Alfredo Aceves over the left field fence in the second inning, and the ball slammed off one of the buses that transported the Yankees to Sarasota.
That’s four homers and six RBIs for Jones, who jumped on an 0-1 pitch after Matt Wieters walked and gave the Orioles a 2-0 lead.

Update: Brad Bergesen retired the first seven batters of the game before Randy Winn blooped a double near the left field line. Felix Pie seemed to be running forever and still couldn’t get to the ball.
Garrett Atkins dropped a foul pop after Winn’s double. He had plenty of room to make the catch, and the ball deflected off his mitt. Francisco Cervelli walked with the count full, making the error more costly, and Derek Jeter got ahead 2-0 before lining a single into center field to load the bases.
Bergesen caught Nick Johnson’s popup and fielded Mark Teixeira’s tapper to the right of the mound, both on 0-2 counts. He threw 24 pitches, 15 for strikes. That’s 41 pitches in three innings.
Meanwhile, Ty Wigginton made his third outstanding play at second base, running into shallow right-center field to catch a popup with his back to the infield.
Miguel Tejada singled to open the bottom of the third. We believe that’s only his second hit in his last 27 at-bats.
