This doesn’t bode well for Britton. The Orioles have scored two runs in Britton’s last four starts while he’s been in the game. They were held scoreless over 26 1/3 innings.

Britton will attempt to join Jake Arrieta as the only six-game winners on the staff. The Orioles didn’t have a pitcher record his sixth win last season until Aug. 8 (Jeremy Guthrie).

Britton and Arrieta would be the first pair of Orioles starters to notch six victories by the end of May since 1997, when Jimmy Key had nine, Scott Erickson had eight and Mike Mussina had seven.
