Esposito batted .362 this year, with 22 doubles, eight homers, 55 RBIs and a .560 slug percentage in 60 games.

He’ll apparently move to the hot corner in the pros.

Baseball America also had Esposito rated as the fifth-best third baseman in the draft, and a second-round talent.

The Royals drafted Esposito in the seventh round out of high school, but he didn’t sign, turning down a reported $1.5 million offer.
