We’re no longer scoreless at Camden Yards, but we are sweating off a pound a minute.
Vladimir Guerrero led off the bottom of the fifth with a single. After two strikeouts and a wild pitch, J.J. Hardy produced the game’s first run with a single into right-center field.
He homers when he bats leadoff, he hits run-scoring singles when he bats seventh.
Mark Reynolds followed with his 10th home run, a 398-foot shot to left-center field that increased the Orioles’ lead to 3-0.

Reynolds leads the club in home run, and he’s tied with Adam Jones for the RBI lead with 32. He’s still batting under .200, and his 61 strikeouts are more than any other Oriole, but this is pretty much what you get from Reynolds.
Oakland left-hander Josh Outman had faced the minimum number of batters through the fourth.
Zach Britton has thrown 61 pitches, 41 for strikes, through five scoreless innings.
Tonight’s attendance: 11,760
Update: Zach Britton allows one hit in 6 1/3 innings, with four hits, one walk and six strikeouts. He threw 79 pitches, 50 for strikes.
The heat might have played a part in manager Buck Showalter’s decision to remove Britton. We’ll find out after the game.
Britton has a chance to win for the first time in his last seven starts.
Meanwhile, Triple-A Norfolk’s Brad Bergesen has a shutout through seven innings, with four hits allowed, one walk and seven strikeouts. He’s thrown 83 pitches, 59 for strikes.
