Each day seems to bring more news from the Orioles.
Reliever Alfredo Simon will be placed on the 15-day disabled list with a hamstring injury, and Jason Berken will be recalled from Triple-A Norfolk to take his place on the roster.
The Sun’s Jeff Zrebiec reported the transaction, and a team official confirmed it to me in a text message.

Berken has been stretched out as a starter at Norfolk, but he’ll work as a long reliever again with the Orioles. He’s 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA in four starts for the Tides, allowing 19 hits, walking seven and striking out 15 in 16 1/3 innings. He was 0-2 with a 7.94 ERA in 15 appearances with the Orioles.
Berken was scheduled to start tomorrow night for Norfolk, but the Tides will need someone else to take his turn. They’re off tonight.
Simon is 1-1 with a 3.14 ERA in five relief appearances for the Orioles since having his contract purchased. He relieved Brian Matusz on Sunday and held Tampa Bay to one earned run (three total) in 4 2/3 innings.
