Maybe the Orioles can reverse this Rogers Centre curse with today’s unusual 12:37 p.m. starting time.
Maybe they can finally win a game in Toronto against a pitcher, Zach Stewart, who will be making his major league debut.
No excuses if they lose their 17th straight game on the Blue Jays’ home synthetic turf. They need to get it done today.
It doesn’t matter if the video vault is missing a “Zach Stewart” section. I’m sure they’ve got scouting reports on him.

He was 4-3 with a 4.39 ERA in 12 starts at Double-A New Hampshire. His last start came exactly one week ago in Bowie, when the held the Baysox to one run over six innings.
I’m guessing that the Orioles have placed a phone call to Bowie manager Gary Kendall.
Jeremy Guthrie is 2-7 lifetime against the Blue Jays, but he’s sporting a 3.80 ERA in 16 starts. In eight starts at Rogers Centre, he’s 1-4 with a 3.36 ERA.
Sounds like typical Guthrie to me. The record should be better, but wins keep eluding him despite quality outings.
Guthrie gave up six runs and nine hits in five innings in his last start against Toronto on June 5. He can play the redemption card today.
No more excuses. Beat this team, get out of Canada, exchange your money and prepare for the Nationals and the thrill of watching pitchers hit.
I’m still waiting on today’s lineup. I hope to post it shortly.
