He has now tied Mark Reynolds for the team homer lead.

After Saturday’s game, Jones, now batting .291, was asked if this is the most confident he’s ever been at bat as a major leaguer.

“I wouldn’t say it’s the max,” Jones said. “Since Day One I’ve felt confident and it’s just now I’m starting to learn how to handle myself at this level on a consistent basis.

“I try to stay with my routine and do the work that has allowed me to be a better player and I just try to implement that on a daily basis.”

In his first three seasons with the Orioles, Jones averaged a homer every 32.6 at-bats and this year, he is hitting one every 21.7 at-bats.

At this current pace, if he gets 600 at-bats this year, he’ll finish with 28 homers and 96 RBIs.

Jones is on a homer binge right now. He has two in two games this weekend, three in his last four games and four in the last seven games. In fact, Jones’ last three hits have been homers and so have four of his past seven hits. He has seven homers in 21 games in June.

Jones now also has a team-leading 45 RBIs and has driven in at least one run in seven straight games, with nine total in that stretch.
