Shortstop J.J. Hardy has led off three of his last 25 games with a home run. The last Oriole to lead off four games in a season with a homer was Brian Roberts in 2005. Brady Anderson holds the club record with 12 leadoff homers in 1996.

Ian Kinsler and Rickie Weeks lead the majors this year with four each.

The Orioles are 1-for-29 (.034) with runners in scoring position in five games this month. They’re 4-for-50 (.080) in their last eight games.

Nick Markakis is seven hits away from 1,000 for his career, which would make him the 14th player to reach that milestone in an Orioles uniform.

The Orioles were 30-31 on June 11. Since then, they’ve gone 6-16 and have posted a 5.45 ERA. During that span, they’re batting .176 (32-for-182) with nine extra-base hits with RISP. The Orioles have made 18 errors in those 22 games, leading to 13 unearned runs.

In the last 21 games since June 12, Orioles starters have completed seven innings just once (Jeremy Guthrie on July 1) and have posted a 6.66 ERA. The rotation is 2-7 with a 7.95 ERA in the last 11 games, with only Guthrie and Mitch Atkins completing as many as six innings.
