The Red Sox put together five hits in the second and recieved a big boost on a Lee error in the third. With two men on and one out, a Marco Scutaro grounder went through his legs for an error and 4-2 lead.
It was possibly an inning-ending double play ball that instead the O’s got no outs on. A sac fly followed and the lead grew to 5-2.
Boston has won six in a row this year against the Orioles.
Meanwhile, Tim Wakefield, who has an ERA of 6.38 his past three starts, has given up just one hit since Lee’s triple in the first and has retired the side in order in the third and fourth.
