Right-handers are batting .314 against Reyes in his career. Left-handers are batting .260.

Reyes has a career ERA of 6.69 in April, 4.95 in May, 4.66 in June, 8.94 in July, 7.24 in August and 5.14 in September.

Probably not a good matchup for the Orioles.

Reyes gained some attention when he ended his personal winless streak at 28 starts on May 30 against the Cleveland Indians. He hadn’t won since June 13, 2008, for the Braves.

The Braves drafted Reyes in the second round in 2003. He can’t become a free agent until 2015.

Down on the farm, Triple-A Norfolk lost to Columbus, 5-4, when Mark Worrell served up a walk-off home run to shortstop Luis Valbuena.

Steve Johnson allowed two runs – both scoring on left fielder Jerad Head’s 19th homer – and eight hits in six innings, with no walks and two strikeouts. He threw 102 pitches, 67 for strikes.

Head has homered in four straight games.

Jake Fox, who caught Johnson today, had a double and two RBIs.
