Chris Tillman will try to get through the seventh. He had thrown 86 pitches heading into the inning.

Instant update: Mark Reynolds is playing a great first base tonight. He just made a nice stop of Colby Rasmus’ sharp grounder near the line and started a 3-6-3 double play.

Reynolds probably should have stepped on the bag first, but he still got two outs. And Tillman got out of the inning by inducing a grounder from Aaron Hill.

Johnson replaced Tillman in the eighth. Tillman allowed two runs and four hits in seven innings, with one walk, five strikeouts, one home run and one hit batter. He threw 93 pitches, 59 for strikes. Outstanding effort.

Jones followed with a run-scoring single that finished Morrow and increased the Orioles’ lead to 6-2 in the eighth.

That’s four RBIs for Jones tonight.
