JUPITER, Fla. – Trey Gibson starts for the Orioles this afternoon against the Cardinals’ split-squad team at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.

Nestor German was listed to start but is working in relief. They’re the only two pitchers from major league camp who came to Jupiter.

Gibson has allowed three runs and five hits in 5 2/3 innings in two relief appearances this spring.

Blaze Alexander is leading off and playing shortstop, followed by Heston Kjerstad in left field and Coby Mayo at third base.

Leody Taveras is the center fielder.

Jhonkensy Noel is playing right field. Sam Huff is catching.

Former Oriole Ramón Urías is playing third base for the Cardinals.

The Orioles announced the opening of the all-new “Birdland Kosher” concessions stand at Camden Yards, which provides kosher-friendly food options for all fans.

From the press release:

“The Star-K certified stand will offer several kosher food items, including hot dogs, hot pastrami sandwiches on rye, soft pretzels, potato knish, chicken nuggets, and chocolate chip cookies. The Birdland Kosher stand will be open on all game days except Fridays, Saturdays, and Yom Kippur (Sept. 20-21), and will be located near section 83 on the concourse beside Gates E and F.”

Update: Kyle Bradish starts Wednesday against the Pirates in Sarasota.

Outfielder Vance Honeycutt is one of the extras on the trip.
