Here are some numbers on the rotation recently:
* No quality starts in the last seven games with an ERA of 7.68.
* An ERA of 7.23 with a 2-7 record on this homestand.
* Just two quality starts with an ERA of 7.31 over the last 15 games.
Orioles’ starting pitchers have given up four earned runs or more in seven consecutive games since Chris Tillman gave up just two runs in seven innings August 6 against Toronto. That was the Orioles last quality start.
The Orioles’ rotation ERA on the year is an unsightly 5.28.
Meanwhile, lefty Jo-Jo Reyes makes his 22nd start of the season today and his second as an Oriole. He gave up four runs over four innings on Tuesday against Chicago.
