Shane Baz is starting for the Orioles this afternoon in D.C., and Chris Bassitt also is listed among the available pitchers.
Baz is the No. 3 starter on the staff, lining him up to face the Twins on Sunday. Bassitt starts Monday’s series opener against the Rangers at Camden Yards.
Samuel Basallo is catching today, Pete Alonso is the first baseman and Ryan Mountcastle is the designated hitter.
Blaze Alexander is starting at second base and Jeremiah Jackson, who hit a three-run homer yesterday, is in left field.
Jackson appears to be the frontrunner for a utility job, but the final roster decisions are pending. Too much can happen between now and Opening Day.
