Matt Angle pinch-hit for Adam Jones with two outs in the top of the second inning and struck out.
I know the Orioles like Angle, but that’s a pretty big responsibility. Batting for the likely Most Valuable Oriole in the second inning?
Actually, the Orioles announced that Jones exited because of an illness.

Though the Orioles recalled Angle today, Nolan Reimold figures to get most of the starts in left field as the club continues to evaluate him. But just in case…it’s not a bad idea to hit a home run.
It’s even better when two runners are on base.
Reimold’s three-run shot in the top of the second inning gave him eight home runs on the season and increased the Orioles’ lead to 4-0.
Ryan Adams followed with his first career double, but he held at second on J.J. Hardy’s bloop single into center field. Ben Revere fooled Adams into thinking that he would make the catch.
Update: The Orioles increased their lead to 7-0 in the top of the third inning and removed Twins left-hander Brian Duensing from the game.
Mark Reynolds tripled after Vladimir Guerrero doubled and Matt Wieters walked. The ball was hit so far, Wieters scored all the way from first base.
Robert Andino followed with a single into left field to extend his hitting streak to nine games. He’s 12-for-34 with five RBIs during the streak.
Danny Valencia homered off Alfredo Simon in the bottom of the third.
Orioles 7, Twins 1
Update II: Reynolds added a run-scoring single in the fifth to increase the lead to 8-1. He’s got three hits and three RBIs tonight. Guerrero is 3-for-3 with three runs scored.
