He is coming off an outing where he set a Tampa single-game record with 14 strikeouts. O’s starter Zach Britton gave up just one run over 12 innings in his last two starts, but gave up a pair of runs in the Tampa first on Evan Longoria’s two-run double.

The Orioles are 5-1 this year at Tropicana Field and 6-6 on the season against Tampa. A loss tonight would be the Orioles’ 82nd and assure a 14th straight losing season.

Hot-hitting Matt Wieters singled his first time up tonight. Here is another interesting Wieters stat: He has hit six homers since August 1 over 25 games. He had a total of six homers in 70 games from May through July.
