Pretty routine stuff, right?

Pedro Strop allowed his first run as an Oriole, tying the game in the eighth inning. Chris Davis singled to lead off the top of the ninth, and pinch-runner Kyle Hudson went from first to third on a strikeout.
Robert Andino swung through a Daniel Schlereth pitch and the ball bounced past catcher Alex Avila, who either couldn’t find it right away or assumed that Andino got a piece of it, and Hudson used his blazing speed to take two bases. My guess is Avila couldn’t find it, since he spun completely around and looked lost.
Hudson broke for home as Schlereth went into his delivery, and Matt Angle laid down a bunt on the right side. The Tigers didn’t have a play at the plate. The Orioles executed it perfectly.
Hudson crossed the plate before first baseman Miguel Cabrera picked up the ball. That’s exactly the way it’s supposed to be done.
Angle had quite a night with his first major league home run and squeeze bunt.
The Orioles have won more games than last season. It’s up to you to decide whether that’s progress.
Brian Matusz gets the start tomorrow in the series-finale. Tommy Hunter, Zach Britton and Alfredo Simon are slated to start the three games against the Red Sox at Camden Yards that close out the season.
