Orioles right fielder Nick Markakis, shortstop J.J. Hardy and catcher Matt Wieters are finalists for the Rawlings Gold Glove Awards.
Markakis, the Angels’ Torii Hunter and the Royals’ Jeff Francoeur are the finalists among American League right fielders. Ichiro, a 10-time winner, didn’t make the cut.
Hardy, the Angels’ Erick Aybar and the Indians’ Asdrubal Cabrera are the league’s finalists among shortstops. Wieters, the White Sox’s A.J. The winners will be announced at 10 p.m. tomorrow on ESPN2.
Markakis, Hardy and Wieters are seeking their first Gold Gloves. Adam Jones, who won the award two years ago, didn’t make the list of finalists among center fielders. He was edged out by the Red Sox’s Jacoby Ellsbury, the Tigers’ Austin Jackson and the Angels’ Peter Bourjos.

Getting back to the GM search, owner Peter Angelos attended the interview with Dodgers executive De Jon Watson, but he was absent for the interview with Blue Jays assistant GM Tony LaCava, who met with him earlier today.
Also, I’m hearing that the Orioles don’t intend to contact the Rangers for permission to interview assistant GM Thad Levine.
