MASN to air documentary on Hoya basketball team’s trip to China

When the Georgetown University men’s basketball team traveled to China this past summer, the Hoyas went with a videographer who documented the trip, from start to finish. The end product of that historic 11-day trip can now be seen by all as MASN will air “From the Baseline” on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
Produced by the Georgetown Athletics Department and Futureview, Inc., “From the Baseline” provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Hoyas trip. Produced by the Georgetown Athletics Department and Futureview, Inc., “From the Baseline” provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Hoyas trip. It documents the team from its departure at Georgetown to touring in China at Tiananmen Square and the Great Wall of China, as well as coverage of the four games the team played.
“‘From the Baseline’ provides a unique view on the historic trip to China taken by the Georgetown men’s basketball team,” Associate Athletics Director Dan O’Neil said. “The trip provided intercultural exchange as well as terrific basketball competition and this thrilling video showcases those points. Fans and friends of Georgetown basketball will have a front row seat.”
“We are thrilled to partner with Georgetown University to give Hoya fans a unique perspective and behind-the-scenes look from the team’s trip to China,” Executive Vice-President of Programming for MASN Jim Cuddihy said.
The show will re-air on Monday, Nov. 14 (9 p.m.), Thursday, Nov. 17 (10 a.m.), Wednesday, Nov. 23 (9 p.m.), Saturday, Nov. 26 (8 p.m.) and Tuesday, Nov. 29 (10 a.m.).
Georgetown opens the 2011-12 season on Saturday, Nov. 12, hosting Savannah State at Verizon Center (noon). The Hoyas will then play UNC Greensboro in the first mainland game of the Maui Classic on Monday, Nov. 14 (7 p.m.). The Blue & Gray play Kansas in Hawaii on Monday, Nov .21 (11:50 p.m. ET).
