Jeremiah Jackson stays in the Orioles’ lineup tonight in Cleveland, playing second base again and batting ninth.

Jackson has homered in five of the last seven games, including a three-run shot last night in the eighth inning to key a 6-4 victory.

“It’s a tough game, so any time you have success, it’s fun,” Jackson told the media afterward. “Enjoy it now, celebrate, have fun. But I think the most important one is the next one.”

That’s tonight, with the Orioles at 10-10 and in third place, 1 ½ games behind the first-place Rays.

Jackson is 8-for-18 with four home runs and 11 RBIs since his line drive struck manager Craig Albernaz in the face.

Colton Cowser is the designated hitter after slamming his right knee into the right field fence last night.

Dylan Beavers is playing right and batting cleanup. Leody Taveras stays in center field.

Dean Kremer makes his second start tonight since the Orioles recalled him from Triple-A Norfolk. He’s posted a 5.40 ERA in five career starts against the Guardians and a 6.59 ERA in three starts in Cleveland.

Guardians right-hander Gavin Williams has allowed 11 runs in 10 2/3 innings in his four career starts against the Orioles. Williams has posted a 2.38 ERA and 1.147 WHIP in four starts this season, averaging 6.4 walks and 11.5 strikeouts per nine innings.
