In case you missed my tweet earlier today, the Texas Rangers announced that they signed outfielder Kyle Hudson to a minor league deal with a spring training invite.
The Orioles designated Hudson for assignment after signing Wei-Yin Chen, and they had to trade or release him. He was let go, and the Rangers signed him.
Of course they did. It had been a few hours since the teams exchanged players in some fashion.
Also, my former partner on the Orioles beat, Joe Strauss, who now covers the Cardinals for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, sent the following tweet today:
“Cards fans may start paying attention to the Baltimore Orioles. #Developing”
Your guess is as good as mine. I have no idea what he’s referring to, but it’s worth tracking.
