Outfielder Jeff Salazar also has reported to camp early.
Felix Pie crushed a ball during batting practice that slammed off the indoor batting cage beyond the right field fence. He also was ripping line drives all over the place.
Adam Jones provided non-stop chatter during the session, which also included Blake Davis and Justin Turner. Manager Dave Trembley and minor league instructor Mike Bordick stood behind the cage.

Will Ohman said he’s always worn No. 13 when it’s been available. It must bring him luck, since he donned the number in Double-A ball when he received his first promotion to the majors. And he was born on the 13th.
Anyone have a favorite No. 13 in Orioles’ history?
Ohman is fast becoming one of my favorites in the clubhouse. He has a terrific sense of humor, and it’s always impressive when the new guys remember your name.
He had a comical take on the Tiger Woods situation, but I can’t share everything in this blog.
The pitchers took part in fielding drills, which is a great time for spectators to catch up on their sleep. Nothing much in the way of excitement.
During one drill, Juan Samuel rolls the ball to the mound and the pitcher fields it and throws to third.
Cool scene: The two locals, Chorye Spoone and Brandon Erbe, signing autographs side-by-side for fans who lined up at the fence.
