Ed Smith Stadium is one of the most environmentally-friendly baseball facilities in America, with its comprehensive recycling program and use of reclaimed water, solar panels, and other materials that improve the site’s energy efficiency. Keeping with that standard, proceeds from the auction will go directly to Keep Sarasota County Beautiful, a non-profit, public education organization. The County-wide program’s mission is to enhance and promote public interest and participation in the general improvement of the environment throughout Sarasota County. This is accomplished through education, cleanup programs, recycling and other methods of reducing solid waste.
The online auction will be held exclusively on www.orioles.com, beginning at noon on Saturday, March 17 and ending on Saturday, March 24 at 6:00 p.m.
