Albert Suárez has signed another contract with the Orioles, is in the clubhouse this afternoon and is headed back to the active roster for tonight’s game against the Blue Jays.

The Orioles will option Cameron Weston, who tossed a scoreless ninth inning last night in his major league debut.

This is the fourth stint for Suárez, who’s been designated for assignment three times and twice re-signed with the club. He keeps an apartment in Baltimore, which comes in handy.

Left-handed reliever Josh Walker is on the taxi squad today while we wait for another update on Yennier Cano’s right hamstring injury.

Adley Rutschman is the designated hitter tonight. Colton Cowser is in right field, Coby Mayo is the third baseman and Jackson Holliday is at second.

Tyler O’Neill is on the bench against an opposing left-handed starter.

Left-hander Trevor Rogers is making his 10th start after posting a 6.96 ERA and 1.617 WHIP in 42 2/3 innings.

Rogers retired 11 batters in a row in his last start after Dillon Dingler’s two-run homer in the first inning. He allowed four runs and four hits in 4 2/3 innings, and he’s surrendered 29 earned runs (31 total) and 37 hits in 23 2/3 innings over his last six outings.

Rogers suffered his career-high sixth loss in a row. He’s the first Oriole to lose six straight since Charlie Morton in 2025.

The Blue Jays have faced Rogers three times in his career and he’s posted a 3.00 ERA with five earned runs in 15 innings. George Springer is 0-for-8 with four strikeouts. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is 3-for-6 with three walks.

Toronto left-hander Adam Macko will make his first career start tonight. He’s had six relief appearances in his rookie season and tossed 4 1/3 scoreless innings.

The Orioles are in fourth place, two games behind the third-place Blue Jays and 10 behind the first-place Rays, who have lost four in a row. They’re two back for the last Wild Card.
