The Orioles will try to split their four-game series against the Blue Jays this afternoon with Kyle Bradish on the mound.

Bradish has lowered his ERA to 3.86 in 11 starts. He’s allowed two runs or fewer in three consecutive outings.

Bradish has registered a 5.18 ERA in eight career starts against Toronto, but he’s allowed three runs or fewer in the last four games in Baltimore.

George Springer is 8-for-19 with five doubles and a home run against Bradish. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is 6-for-19 with a homer.

The Orioles’ rotation has lowered its ERA to 4.71, 25th in the majors.

Samuel Basallo is catching today and Adley Rutschman is the designated hitter. Colton Cowser is in right field, Blaze Alexander is at third and Jackson Holliday is at second.

The Orioles are 6-3 on the homestand and 12-16 this month. They’re two games behind Toronto for third place.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, yesterday was the first time in the expansion era (since 1961) that the Orioles had their final eight batters reach base.

Rookie right-hander Spencer Miles is listed as today’s starter. He’s made 15 appearances this season, 14 in relief, and posted a 2.16 ERA and 1.020 WHIP in 33 1/3 innings. He’s surrendered only two home runs.

Miles threw a season-high 66 pitches in 4 1/3 innings in his last appearance while holding the Marlins to one run. He tossed 4 1/3 scoreless in his previous appearance at Yankee Stadium.
